Chateau de Fontainebleau, built in the 12th century, was the summer palace of King Louis VII. The castle was constructed with an graceful style of Florentine & Roman architecture. A thick forest with maple trees surrounded the castle ground.

I was drowned in the sea of soothing autumn colours when I visited the place in late Nov 2006. It was a cold and misty day. The sense of loneliness striked my heart...or, to be exact, it was the sense of solitude.

No other buildings is so associated with Paris as Notre Dame. It stands majestically on Ile de la Cite, cradle of the city. The first stone was laid by Pope Alexander III in 1163 & construction completed in 1330. This cathedral is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture.

I have never miss a visit to Notre Dame whenever I was in Paris... be it day or night. This place offers abundant inspirations for photography.

My last visit was during the Spring time in 2008, when it saw the blossom of red & white flowers blending with the splendid craftmanship of the cathedral building.

"Le Printemp" is Spring in french. I visited this central part of France in Apr 08. This is the Loire region, surrounded by renowned towns of Bourges, Menetou Salon & Sancerre. It was the season of first breeze of Spring carried refreshing shower to awake living things on earth. The atmosphere was filled with renewal...the renwal of life.

Winter is over & the footsteps of Spring has arrived. Has Spring knocks the door of your heart?
